Ionic Air purifiers, how do they work? To start with, what is an ion? Ions are molecules that have gained or lost an electron. When a molecule gains an electron it is then called a negative ion, when it loses a molecule it’s called a positive ion. Ionic air purifiers, how do they work?
Ionic Air purifiers are full of negative ions, which attract the airborne allergens, such as pet dander, pollen, molds, and charge them, causing them to settle on the surrounding surfaces.
